Award-winning Nurse Residency Training

HealthStream

HealthStream is a leading provider of workforce, training, and development solutions, currently partnering with more than half of the healthcare organizations in the United States.

Nurse Residency e-Learning Program

HealthStream's accredited, award-winning Nurse Residency Program serves as a bridge from nursing school into the career profession. HealthStream desired to improve the program by decreasing dependency on existing staff for mentoring and by making the curriculum less academic and more interactive and engaging.

HealthStream desired an increase in self-paced activities while maintaining higher-level skillsets. Allen Interactions worked closely with Subject Matter Experts to translate research and high-quality content into contextualized practice activities and high-fidelity e-learning interactions.

Solution Highlights

  • Focused on learner-centered design and an innovative, blended approach of asynchronous learning, practice-based simulations, and mobile delivery
  • Carefully scripted, cast, and acted videos demonstrate challenging, multi-step  interactions to re-deliver nurses specific skillsets through an improved e-learning curriculum
  • Features high-fidelity simulations that motivate aspiring nursing staff, set clear bars, and provide ideal mentor examples of what performance should look like
  • To reduce hands-on time during intensive onboarding, nurses are able to access training in real time, engaging in meaningful challenges that can be immediately practiced on-the-job
  • Developed using Allen Interactions' signature iterative SAM Development Process and CCAF Design Model.
